DANCES THIS WEEK:
Happy Sunday! Hope you've all
managed to dig yourselves out, get your snowmobiles running, and
are ready to dance! This week for beginners, we'll be
learning "FOR PETES SAKE"
that goes to the country hit, Beer On The Table" For higher
levels, we will be re-learning an old favorite,
"SAUCY
STEPPIN"
which I love doing to Gonna Get You Good by Shania, and review
"MY COWBOY"
DANCES DONE SO FAR IN THIS 6 WEEKS
INCLUDE: Hillbilly Bones, Dance
With Josh, Little Miss Kiss, Hippy Dippy Mambo, Quarter After One,
Kathie's Mambo, Tennessee Waltz Surprise, Caught In The Act, and Stuff You Gotta Watch.

There's a LOT of dancing events
coming your way soon, get out your calendars: May 7-9 is the 50'th
Ohio Buckeye Dance Convention, this year being held in Aurora at Bertram
Inn & Convention Center, 600 N. Aurora Rd. Three days of
workshops, featuring square dancing, clogging, contra, and country line
dancing. I will be one of the instructors for the country dancing
events. I have registrations forms, you can buy all 3 day package
for $25. or $20. for Sat. only, or $5. for Sunday. I'll have the
complete schedule soon.
MAY 16'th, A Sunday, is our 4'th
annual Dancing For Dollars to benefit the Cleveland Domestic Violence
Center. This will again be held at Springvale Ballroom in N.
Olmsted. Doors open at 1:30. Registration forms will soon be
available at all classes. Scroll below for pictures of last years
event.
I will again be starting classes for
the Medical Mutual Wellness Program in Feb. This year I will be teaching
at Rocky River, Amherst, and Fairview. These are private classes
for employees of groups who use Medical Mutual. I always enjoy all
the happy people I meet doing this!
Thanks to all who made our Christmas
party such a success! The homemade goodies were awesome, we even
took time out for a little dancing in between all the snacking!
Friday found a group of us downtown at
the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame at 6:45 ( yes that was A.M.) for a special
Fox 8 did on Caliber. Although the dancers did not receive much
air time ( don't blink if you watch it) we all had such a good time!

While most of us were happy to wear a
flowered shirt & lei to our Luau line dance party, some of our
guests went all out ( see below) what a great time and GREAT
crowd, there were 54
of you!

Our total for the domestic violence fundraiser continues to grow
higher even thought the dancing is over! Thanks to those of you
who were unable to attend, but have sent me a check.......who knows how
high our final total will be?

Pictured here is one of my new
classes that I am doing for employees through the Strategic Capital
Advisors/Medical Mutual program. Every 6 weeks I am sent to a new
location ( Fairview above) as part of their wellness program. I am
enjoying all the new people I am meeting.
This fall, I am excited to be invited
to be part of the team of Strategic Capitol Advisors/ Medical Mutual, as
they launch their wellness program to area school employees. I
will be teaching at Olmsted Falls, Rocky River, Avon, Amherst, and
Fairview Park on a rotating basis. This program is only open to
employees of these schools, and it is such an excellent concept of which
I am proud to be a part of! I look forward to a long working
relationship with this group.
